Collaboration with Staff
We can’t go back to the days of disagreements with our labor partners. One wrong person in the school board can send us backward. I want to continue in the right direction so we can work together to provide the best education for our kids, especially our most vulnerable kids. I am also excited to be involved in implementing community schools and continuing the teacher home visits.

Strong Foundation
We need to make sure our kids have strong reading, writing, math, and basic science skills. If the kids can’t read, they can’t do math or do basic science. Going back to working together it has been shown that fostering connections of the parents, school staff, community leaders and kids is the best way to close the equity gaps. We must also spend the money to get reading specialist.

Career Pathways
I will obviously support all kids that want to attend college. I have taken courses in all levels of public education in the state of California, and I can help guide students in that direction if they choose to go that route. I believe our students and their families should have more choices. I work for the State of California as an Information Technology Professional. The kids that are part of the dual enrollment program that will have enough units after graduation will be able to start with the state of California in the IT classification series. We have two of the leading companies in the computing industry with campus near by Intel and HP. We can work with them so they can provide internships and work opportunities for our students. Rosemont High School is the home of the Engineering, Construction and Design Academy excellent Career Technical Educations program. I will work with the entire Sacramento Sierra Building and Construction Trade Council to make sure the kids that choose this path are ready to jump into apprenticeships of their choice.
